Western Division Sales Manager

Location: Las Vegas, NV

Experience: Progressive Sales Experience in the Wire and Cable or Electronics Distribution Industries.

Allied Wire & Cable, Inc., a leading distributor in the wire and cable market, is looking for a seasoned Sales Manager to establish, build and direct its presence in the Company’s newest regional distribution facility located in the suburbs of Las Vegas, Nevada. This high profile position will serve as a member of the Company’s Executive Management Team and will be charged with the success of this new entity that firmly establishes the Firm as a leading supplier of industrial Wire and Cable in the Western US.

Specific duties and responsibilities include:

  • Hiring and building the inside sales rep organization at this Western Production and Distribution Facility. Ensure sales, profit and other performance measurements are attained by the sales reps.
  • Interact with Corporate staff located in the Eastern US. Help adopt Corporate Best Practices as they pertain to IT, communications and lead tracking/generation, marketing and finance.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with Production Personnel on site charged with fulfilling the sales orders directed to and generated by this location.
  • Implement training and development processes and procedures for new sales reps. Provide mentoring and coaching as needed. Monitor progress against established goals and report accordingly.
  • Ensure that all leads are followed up immediately by the sales reps. Establish, monitor, investigate and report key performance indicators that will provide management with a dashboard of the overall health of the business.
  • Identify new market segments and national customer accounts to penetrate. Particular focus will be on the western Border States.
  • Accompany sales reps or Company owners on visits to customers and prospect accounts with the ability to quickly ascertain the business requirements of the individuals and how the Company can position itself as the vendor of choice.
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and credentials:
  • Proven record of success in a sales driven organization with at least 5 years of experience in a Supervisory or Managerial role.
  • Progressive sales experience in the Cable and Wire or Electronics Industries (Distribution and VAR) is required
  • Proven ability to respond to technical RFP’s
  • Creative problem solver who has the confidence to bring new ideas to Company Management with the support and justification for these recommendations
  • The ability to pay attention to details, possess a sense of urgency and fairness in all aspects; A customer centric attitude is a must
  • Professional appearance and demeanor in addition to exemplary oral and written communication skills
  • Fluency with standard Microsoft Office productivity tools in addition to ERP and CRM applications
