Cat 6 Cable Applications:

Cat 6 cable is used in support current and next generation applications utilizing 25 MHz bandwidth. Typically Cat 6 cabling exhibits 27 dB better PSACR @ 100 MHz as compared to Cat 5e. Cat 6 cabling is fully backward compatible with Cat5e cable and Cat5e cable connectors.

Plenum cat 6 cable and riser cat 6 cabling available for either plenum or riser installation. Riser cables feature polyethylene insulation while plenum versions use fluoropolymer insulation. Both types feature UV and oil-resistant jacketing, but plenum constructions are also low-smoke.
