Polyester Expandable

Expandable Braided Sleeving is applicable whenever a cable or wire requires additional external protection in tough or hazardous environments. It is suitable for use in marine, automotive, electronic, and industrial applications. It is also applicable for cable bundling or added aesthetic appeal. Like heat shrink tubing, this sleeving can also cover irregular shapes. Velcro-like enclosures allow you to open expandable polyester sleeving easily.

Expando Sleeving is ideal for lightweight, flexible routing, or as a jacket for flat cable. Like other expandable sleeving products, this polyester sleeving expands and contracts to provide grip on different parts and to allow for an easy installation. It also resists rot, fungus, abrasion, and cut-through. All of the sleeving products on this page meet the MIL-I-631D specification and are available in RoHS compliant versions.

Keep in mind you must use a hot knife to cut and seal this polyester sleeving to prevent fraying. If you don't want to use a hot knife, Non-Fraying Expandable Braided Sleeving is a good choice. Non-fraying braided expandable sleeving protects wire, cable, and hoses. It also resists fungus, flame, chemicals, and solvents. Because this sleeving does not fray, it is suitable for use on automated cutting machines.
