TFFN Wire and TFN Fixture Wire Applications:

  • TFFN and TFN Fixture Wire are general purpose wiring in accordance with the NEC. It is building wire rated at 600 volts, for installation in conduit or other recognized raceway. TFFN Wire and TFN Wire may also be used for wiring of machine tools, appliances and control circuits. TFN 18 1 can be used as dog fence wire.

TFFN Wire and TFN Fixture Wire Construction:

  • Conductor: Soft drawn bare copper
  • Primary Insulation: Polyvinylchloride (PVC)
  • Jacket: Nylon
  • CSA approval available upon request for building wire.

TFFN Fixture Wire Ratings:

  • UL-66 for TFFN, UL-1063 for MTW, Federal Specification J-C-580B, UL-758 for AWM Styles 1316, 1408, 1452, and 1841 (1000 volts) including 2500 volts peak -- for electronics use only, 1841, CSA-C22.2 No. 127 TEWN 105°C

TFFN Fixture Wire Printing:

  • Ink print: "AWG Type MTW or TFFN or Gasoline and Oil Resistant II 600V (UL) or AWM Styles 1316-1408-1452-1841--CSA TEWN 105°C FT1"

TFN Fixture Wire Ratings:

  • UL 1316: 105°C dry, 80°C in oil, 600 volts
  • UL 1408: 90°C dry, 60°C wet or in oil, 600 volts
  • UL 1452: 90°C dry, 80°C in oil, 1000 volts
  • UL 1841: 105°C dry, 75°C wet, 80°C in oil, 600 volts

TFN Fixture Wire Printing:

  • Ink print: "AWG Type TFN Gasoline and Oil Resistant II 600V (UL) or AWM Styles 1316-1408-1452-1841--CSA TEWN or AWM I A/B 105°C 600V FT1"
