PVC/PVC cables 20 AWG or larger that have three or more conductors are suitable for use in direct burial applications. Unshielded cables are suitable for use in metallic conduit. Overall shielded cables are ideal for applications with signals transmitted at over 100 millivolts, but not in applications where sources of high voltage and current create a lot of noise and signal interference. Individually and overall shielded parts are a good choice for instrumentation applications requiring superior noise rejection.
