April 5, 2006: Allied Wire and Cable launched their brand new website. The nearly 1-year
redesign undertaking boasts many new and exciting features, including a Request For Quote "shopping"
Cart (see article below). The new website also hosts an online catalog with printer-friendly product
information and a new Custom Cable Design Center (see article below) where you can enter as
much or as little as you know about your custom cable requirements. The old standards have also been updated
including information on our value-added services and employee biographies.
The Simplest RFQ You Ever Made!
You need a quote. How much time does it take you? Too long? Well, the most exciting
feature of the new website is the Request For Quote "Shopping" Cart.
This tool is especially great if you are looking for items from multiple categories.
- Simply locate an item you need
- Fill out the all the information you know -
quantity needed, color, striping, and any other special requirements
- Add the item to your cart
- Find the next item you need and repeat
When you are all finished, hit the "Checkout" button. You will be asked to fill out
your billing information and delivery address. You can even enter a RFQ or PO number for reference purposes.
Your RFQ will go to your current account representative. In most cases, RFQs entered through the website
will be returned within 24 hours.
