Allied Wire & Cable Named a Top Family-Owned Business Again in 2016

Philadelphia, PA – Each year, the Philadelphia Business Journal names the top 50 largest family-owned businesses in the Philadelphia region, and this year, Allied Wire & Cable ranked higher than last year. Allied moved up from 15th place in 2015 to 11th place in 2016. This award takes into account family ownership criteria and company employment statistics.




Allied Wire & Cable Wins Readers’ Choice Award

Control Design Magazine, a machine-builder's magazine, asks its readers to choose a product of choice each year in a variety of categories. For 2016, Allied Wire & Cable won a Readers’ Choice Award in the Wire and Cabling category. 




Allied Adds Promising Wire and Cable Veteran to the Team

Simon Weil, a wire and cable veteran of almost thirty years, joined Allied’s sales team in the headquarters office. Weil has worked for General Cable, Houston Wire & Cable, and Anixter before joining the Allied team. With Simon’s customer service experience, Allied views him as a valuable resource for employees, but most importantly, for the customers.




Allied Wire & Cable and the Collegeville Italian Bakery Honors Police

On Wednesday, October 12, Allied Wire & Cable and the Collegeville Italian Bakery will be providing a complimentary lunch to local police in the Montgomery & Chester County areas. From 11:00am to 2:30pm at the Collegeville Italian Bakery, all first responders are invited to enjoy lunch (sandwich and a drink) on us! Just show your police ID to the bakery and we’ll enjoy lunch with you.




Allied Awards 2016 Scholarship Recipient

Allied Wire & Cable is proud to announce the 2016 winner of a company-sponsored scholarship for children of employees. To be eligible for the scholarship, students must apply during their senior year of high school, have at least a 3.0 GPA, and submit an essay with their application. The $10,000 is payable over the course of the student's college career. Mike Gantert from Pottsgrove High School is the recipient of the 2016 scholarship.
