What is the difference between M17/119-RG174 coax cable vs. RG174 coax cable?

M17/119-RG174 is the Mil-Spec equivalent to the commercial grade RG 174 cable. M17/119-RG174 Coax is used for high frequency signal transmission and features a jacket with non-comtaminating, PVC Type IIA per MIL-C-17 and uses a M17/196-00001 LS/LT jacket. The Mil-Spec equivalent is rated from -40°C to +85°C whereas commercial grade RG174 is only rated from -40°C to +80°C.

What are RG 174 Cable Applications?

RG174 cable is used to provide high-speed, high-fidelity data transfer. Common applications include: security systems, computer networks, access control, card access control, home automation applications and transmisson of data signals in GPS or LAN/WAN. RG-174 coax cable is also commonly used to connect wireless devices and antennas within wireless networks. RG174 coaxial cable is approved for direct burial applications.
