Tyco Raychem Spec 44

Aerospace Cable

Allied Wire & Cable carries a variety of aerospace wire and cable including Raychem’s SPEC 44. Tyco Raychem SPEC 44 was originally designed for military and aerospace requirements that demanded complex circuitry and high-density applications. Today, SPEC 44 is widely used in industries such as aircraft, avionics, commercial and military electronics, helicopters, satellites, ships, trains and offshore platforms (where environmental conditions demand consistent reliable performance).

.

SPEC 44 features a dual-wall construction that blends the excellent mechanical and chemical properties of radiation-crosslinked polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) and outstanding physical and electrical characteristics of radiation-crosslinked polyalkene. The insulation system features copper conductors (tin, silver, nickel or aluminum coated) beneath primary insulation of radiation-crosslinked, extruded polyalkene and topped with a Radiation-crosslinked, modified PVDF jacket.

This high-performance cable includes many features such as: being lightweight and small in size, resistive to electrical arc tracking and most chemicals, low smoke and low corrosive gas generation and voltage sizes 2500, 1000 and 600. A modern dimensional replacement for glass/PVC/nylon braid type wire and cables can be offered in airframe constructions for SPEC 44. This wire SPEC 44 crosses directly with Allied’s MIL-W-M81044.

Part Number Breakdown: 44 XXXXX - AWG - X
