We have an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for you an experienced wire and cable sales manager to take your career to the next level! Allied Wire & Cable, the fastest growing specialty manufacturer and value-added distributor of electrical wire and cable, is opening a branch in the Lone Star State, and we need an Experienced Inside Sales Manager to quarterback our newest team.

Pro-level expectations

  • Develop a game plan: Implement a strategic sales plan that supports corporate goals along with unique branch goals
  • You call the plays: Manage all aspects of internal sales team, including the hiring of and ongoing development of sales and support staff
  • Lead in the locker room: Mentor and assist sales representatives with developing and maintaining customer relationships, as well as negotiating and closing deals in a manner that maximizes profit; Investigate and resolve escalated customer issues and concerns
  • Be a star on the field: Be resourceful, taking responsibility for own success in our business growth by meeting and exceeding monthly sales and profit goals through tele-marketing to, corresponding and meeting with current and prospective customers, utilizing company provided leads, as well as own sources

Thinking about trying-out? Here's what we're looking for in our star QB:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Communications or related field preferred or equivalent experience in a sale/management role within the Wire and Cable industry
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task, in an ever changing and fast-paced environment
  • Intermediate computer skills; must be proficient in Microsoft Office and webmail (Gmail); CRM (Salesforce) experience is a plus
  • Understand products’ technical applications in order to provide solutions to customers
  • Excellent customer service skills; a customer centric attitude is a must
  • Ability to travel (day or overnight trips) required, but on a very limited basis – 5% or less
