Pennsylvania Warehouse Associate

Allied Wire & Cable, Inc., a leading electrical distributor, is seeking to add a 1st & 2nd Shift full-time Warehouse Associate with experience in a production environment to its team.  This position is for our headquarters in Collegeville, PA. 

The warehouse associate will be responsible for:

  • General warehouse duties including order picking, processing, packing and shipping
  • Daily setup and operation of production equipment
  • Inspection of material to determine quality of product using multiple tools and resources
  • Working knowledge of small parcel and LTL shipping utilizing UPS/FedEx software systems and BOL’s
  • Inventory Control including cycle counting, adjustments, and organization
  • Various lift operation including counter balance, OP and reach truck
  • Maintaining a clean work area and keep equipment in an orderly condition
  • Other duties as assigned

Additional Requirements & Skills:

  • Ability to use and read measuring devices such as dial calipers, micrometers, rulers, etc.
  • Accurately read, interpret, and follow detailed instructions, and perform in process inspection
  • Highly detail oriented, motivated and be able to work independently
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt/adjust on the fly
  • Must work well in a team environment and participate in cross-training activities
  • Actively participate in department/shift/team meetings
  • Basic computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Good basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug test
  • Previous forklift experience is a plus
