2nd Shift Production/MFG Manager

Allied Wire & Cable, Inc., a leading electrical distributor and specialty cable manufacturer, is seeking to add an experienced full time 2nd Shift Production/MFG Manager to its team. This position is for our headquarters in Collegeville, PA.

Core responsibilities of Production/MFG Manager:

  • Be proficient in core management principles – POLC (Planning, Organizing, Leading, Controlling)
  • Conceive, develop and implement processes for continual improvement
  • Direct workflow and prioritize orders
  • Allocate resources and personnel to maximize floor coverage
  • Oversee approximately 80 employees, 30 of them on the 2nd shift
  • Oversee and mentor departmental leads one-on-one
  • Complete and issue disciplinary actions and performance reviews
  • Conduct all hiring and firing of warehouse associates
  • Monitor and maintain employee timesheets
  • Ensure all necessary training is completed, including but not limited to procedure, forklift and ISO requirements
  • Perform daily production audits and department ISO audits
  • Manager Customer Quality Log
  • Maintaining a clean work area and keep equipment in an orderly condition
  • Key holder responsible for locking up the building each evening
  • Run credit cards, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements & skills:

  • Ability to motivate employees and track their productivity.
  • Highly detail oriented, motivated and able to work independently
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt/adjust on the fly
  • Actively participate in department/shift/team meetings
  • Actively participate in monthly safety committee meetings
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Gmail/web mail
  • Exceptional math skills
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug test
