FIT Lacing Tape Finishes:

A. Natural, No finish

B. Wax:

  • Microcrystalline wax compounded with a fungicide (contains neither copper nor mercuric materials)
  • Melting point above 54°C
  • Excellent knot retention without too great a "waxy" feel
  • Soft, pliable, and easy to tie

C. Synthetic Rubber or Elastomer:

  • Special continuous coating of fungistatic synthetic rubber containing no corrosive compounding ingredients
  • Knots tied with this finish will not slip
  • Non-dusting or flaking

D: Glass/TFE:

  • Excellent tensile strength and abrasion resistance
  • Fungus, acid, and flame resistant

E. Synthetic Resin or Vinyl:

  • Thermoplastic synthetic resin
  • Melting point above 177°C
  • Ideal for use where a "wax free" type is specified
  • Non-dusting or flaking
  • Dry finish with good knot tying qualities

FIT Lacing Tape Finish Weight (impregnated % of material by weight)

  • Finish A (natural)
  • Finish B (wax): 15%-32%
  • Finish C (synthetic rubber/elastomer): 7%-17%
  • Finish E (synthetic resin/vinyl): 15%-30%

FIT Lacing Tape Operating Temperature:

  • -73°C to +177°C

FIT Lacing Tape Elongation:

  • 40% max

FIT Lacing Tape Material:

  • Flat braid made from high-tenacity continuous polyester yarn
