AWC eUpdate Newsletter August 2013

Summer Fun with AWC

We know many families are starting to wind down their summers and get ready for the back to school season. Well, the Allied family is doing the same!

This month was all about ending the summer on a high note and celebrating Allied’s Florida location at the same time. Tampa, FL is home to AWC’s Southeastern Division, our newest office and stocking location.

In addition to the growth and development we’ve experienced expansion-wise, we’ve also been growing and improving online. Our new website is up and running, featuring lots of upgrades we designed around your feedback. Just a few of the improved features include a streamlined online shopping cart, simplified navigation and page layout, and new options like logging in to view any past RFQs and orders you’ve submitted through the website with the ability to resubmit for updated pricing or reordering. With a free website login, you have access to everything, so if you don’t have one yet, go register now!

You’ve probably gotten more familiar with the new site through our August promo challenge, a website scavenger hunt. Everyone that followed the special weekly hints to the treasure chest icons on our website received extra entries in Allied’s 25th Anniversary Giveaway Extravaganza. And don’t forget - all entries will also go into our Grand Prize Caribbean Vacation raffle at the end of the year! There’s still time to complete our final scavenger hunt challenges before the end of the month, so go get this week’s hint and start playing now.

And don’t forget to check out the most recent episode of “Allied’s Reel Exciting Year-Long 25th Anniversary Celebration Giveaway Extravaganza” game show. It features a metal-detector wielding treasure hunter of its own!

With all the fun we had, it’s sad to see summer coming to an end, but we are pretty excited for what’s to come in September. Back to school makes it a busy time for families, and the Allied family is no exception. We’ll be releasing a new anniversary video and featuring new weekly 25th anniversary challenges so you can earn more raffle entries and have a little fun with our back to school theme.

Joke of the Month!

Summer was over and the teacher was asking the class about their vacations.

She turned to little Johnny and asked what he did over the summer. “We visited my grandmother in Minneapolis, Minnesota,” he said.

“That sounds like an excellent vocabulary word,” the teacher said, “Can you tell the class how you spell that?”

Little Johnny thought about it and said, “Come to think of it, she lives in Ohio.”
