AWC eUpdate Newsletter December 2007

AWC Featured in Wire Journal International

"Unfortunately, in today's society many companies only care about the bottom line. They have to answer to their stockholders or another principal who only care about the dividends check. […] We owe more to our employees and customers than just caring about squeezing as much profit as possible from our company." Tim Flynn, Allied Wire and Cable (As seen in Wire Journal International).

Allied Wire and Cable was recently featured in the December 2007 issue of Wire Journal International, a leading wire and cable trade publication. In WJI's cover story, "Industry Trends: The Family Business," Allied's Tim Flynn answers questions about different facets of running a successful family operated business in the wire and cable industry. Topics covered in the article range from the greatest strengths and challenges of a family run operation to the future of the company.

Update: Phyllis Rose Charity Event

Phyllis, Desiree and Debbie

Allied Wire would like to thank everyone for your overwhelming support for our long time receptionist Phyllis Rose last week. You, our customers, went out of your way to make this happen by holding orders, adding to orders, and even donating your own hard-earned money. Although the final figure is still unknown, it appears that together we raised nearly $15,000! We here at Allied, Phyllis, and her family are truly grateful for your kind words and generosity.
