Allied Wire – Cable that is Out of this World
Giving Sports Fans a Good View

Wire Out of This World

Stadium lighting involves a huge network of cabling to power everything from the lights on the courts and fields to the lighting that illuminates the seating areas and concession stands.

With all of the different sizes and types of cables involved in the operation of a sports stadium, streamlining the wiring becomes critical. The cables cannot take up a lot of space and they must stay organized so they can be accessed for maintenance. Keeping track of it all can get pretty tricky when you’re working with such large volumes. That’s where Allied’s custom hybrid cables come in.

Custom cable experts at Allied have designed custom hybrid cables to combine multiple types and sizes of lighting wire under one jacket, and they’ve done it for some of the largest stadiums in the US – including the homes of some of your favorite NFL teams.

At Allied, we’re pretty big sports fans and if we can make stadiums a little brighter so everyone can get a better view of a great play…or just see the aisles well enough to get out of your seat quickly, make it down for a beer, and get back in time not to miss anything, we’re all for it!

Learn more about custom cables from Allied, including our custom lighting cable, in our custom cable case studies.

Joke of the Month!

joke

A taxi passenger taps the driver on the shoulder to ask him a question. The driver screams, loses control of the car, nearly hits a bus, goes up on the footpath, and stops centimeters from a shop window.

For a second, everything goes quiet in the cab, then the driver says, "Look mate, don't ever do that again. You scared the daylights out of me!"

The passenger apologizes and says, "I didn't realize that a little tap would scare you so much.”

The driver replies, "Sorry, it's not really your fault. Today is my first day as a cab driver. I've been driving a funeral van for the last 25 years."
