AWC's New Location in the New Year

New Allied Wire Headquarters in PA

Even though the New Year is only a few weeks old, Allied Wire has gone through some major changes in 2008 already! As of January 14, 2008, AWC relocated its International Headquarters from our 35,000 square foot facility in Phoenixville to our newly built, state-of-the-art 82,000 square foot facility in nearby Collegeville, PA.

However, none of this would be possible without our loyal customers and the support of our vendors. We here at Allied are dedicated to providing our customers with the best service possible. In order to ensure that our customers didn't experience any delays in service, all of our employees, from sales to accounting to IT to warehouse workers put in full days on both Saturday and Sunday. It's this type of dedication that has lead to our expansion over the years.

With the new building, our customers can expect even better service, stock availability and turn-around times. With the expanded space, we are now able to stock more items than before. The racks have been laid out in a way, which makes it easier for our warehouse employees to get around and work more efficiently. Also, several new value-added machines have been added including a new PTFE striper and a dual head braider. These changes and additions will make our turnaround times faster than ever.

In addition to our expanded warehouse, our office area has tripled. We now have two floors of office space. The layout of the new office is set up so that all departments can work more proficiently. Our Sales department is on the first floor with easy access to the warehouse. One new feature that you'll like: All sales representatives have been given their own direct lines so their customers will have even faster and more direct access to their rep.

All of us at Allied are excited about the changes this year as we continue striving to provide you with the best service possible. After all, the best way we can show our thanks to you, our customers, is to provide you with low pricing, quick turnaround times, and of course, excellent service.

Allied Wire Stocking New Aerospace Product: Data Master™ Cables

Aerospace Cables

Allied Wire and Cable has expanded our aerospace product line to include Data Master™ cable, a high-in-demand aircraft cable. AWC is pleased to announce that we now stock the high performance cables in order to better serve our customers in the aerospace market and other industries.

The most common use for Data Master™ Cables is in high-speed data applications and aircraft in-flight entertainment systems. Data Master™ Cables use a closed cell FEP dielectric which is flame retardant and easy to strip with good crush performance. They are also fully ROHS and FAR 25 compliant and follow federal aviation guidelines.

The aerospace market is competitive since there seems to be little high-speed cable standardization. According to an article in Aerospace Market News, 2007 was a record year for the commercial aerospace industry. Allied recognizes this and has decided to expand our stock to include more products to better serve our aerospace customers. Here at Allied Wire and Cable we strive to help our customers stay up-to-date with the latest technology by keeping up with industry trends ourselves.

Our sales team is extremely knowledgeable on the different varieties of Data Master™ aircraft cables. If you have any questions, please call or email your account representative for more information. We also have engineers readily available to help you decide if this product is the right choice for your company or organization.

Data Master™ cables are a registered trademark of Harbour Industries.
