A Behind the Scenes Look at Allied's Blog

Allied Wire & Cable blog

Everyone seems to be blogging nowadays. There are food blogs, travel blogs, exercise blogs, and even wire and cable blogs! Yes, you heard right. Here at Allied, we blog about our wire and cable — and a whole bunch of other Allied-related things for that matter.

We see our blog as a space for our customers to get to know Allied, its products, and its employees a little bit better. It's a spot where some of our most valuable information is released and presented, covering a wide range of topics. It's also been around since 2007, which makes it one of the oldest in the industry, with stories dating back almost ten years. Carefully organized into different sections, our blog features stories that are relevant to people in the wire and cable industry, but also those who aren't at all! Here are some of our most popular blog categories:

Allied Encyclopedia: This section is a series of detailed blog posts on some of our most popular products. Whether you want to know a voltage rating for a specific cable, or its uses and approvals, you can find all the information you'll need in our Allied Encyclopedia.

Product Knockout: This section brings a little bit of boxing to wire and cable. How, you might ask? These posts involve aligning two similar cables or products side-by-side, to see their similarities and differences, as well as what cable would work best depending on your needs.

Allied News: Covering a wide range of topics, our news section of the blog features posts from our biggest promotions, Charity Week, scholarship giveaways, our involvement with specific organizations we sponsor, and events we partake in.

Allied Product News: This one's all in the name. If we're releasing a new product, here's the place you'd go to find out all about it.

Price Increases: Need to know if your go-to product is on the rise? Here's where you'll find out. These short little blurbs will keep you in the loop if you're ever wondering why you feel like you're paying more than you used to.

As a way of making sure you don't miss any of our most recent posts, we feature our newest blog posts in our monthly newsletter. To be really sure that you don't miss any of our posts, subscribe to our blog here. We don't disappoint!

Joke of the Month

Joke

One day a little girl was sitting and watching her mother do the dishes at the kitchen sink. She suddenly noticed that her mother had several strands of white hair sticking out in contrast on her brunette head.

She looked at her mother and inquisitively asked, "Why are some of your hairs white, Mom?"

Her mother replied, "Well, every time you do something wrong and make me cry or unhappy, one of my hairs turns white."

The little girl thought about this revelation for a while and then said, "Momma, how come ALL of grandma's hairs are white?"
