Our XHHW-1000 1000 MCM wire is part of our Hook Up Wire / Lead Wire line. XHHW-1000 is a 1000 MCM wire made of a bare copper conductor with an XLPE insulation and a conductor stranding of 61/.1208. Weighing approximately 3230 lbs/MFT, these wires have a voltage rating of 600 volts and a temperature rating of 90°. The standard color of XHHW wire is black and it can be used for general purpose wiring, for power distribution and branch circuit wiring, where a cable having superior flame retardance is required.
