Quadruplex wire is a service drop wire that is a part of Allied Wire & Cable's stock of utility cable. This cable is constructed with three aluminum conductors, black extruded cross-linked polyethylene insulation, and a bare aluminum neutral. Its XLPE insulated conductors allow the cable to handle a maximum ambient temperature of 90°C and a maximum voltage of 600 volts. Quadruplex wire is also fit for a variety of environments due to its resistance to weather, abrasion, tearing, cutting, and chemicals.
Quadruplex wire can be used as a service-entrance cable transmitting power usually from a pole-mounted transformer or secondary power line. It is rated for ANSI/ICEA Standard S-76-474 and ASTM Standards B231, B232, and B399 when applicable. This cable is perfect for use as a service drop wire in environments that require a tough, strong cable.
