RG130 coax cable is a military grade cable that is tough enough to handle direct burial, weathering, and other outdoor elements. It is protected from temperatures ranging from -40°C to 80°C by its Type I PVC jacket as specified by the MIL-C-17 specifications for coax cable. However, this jacket is contaminating meaning that while the jacket can protect the cable from weathering and other elements, it may weaken over time. The military equivalent of RG130 coax cable is M17/56-RG130 coax cable. Within the jacket are two stranded bare copper conductors that are rated for up to 3,000 volts. These conductors are shielded in order to further strengthen the cable against physical damage.
