RG133 coax cable is used to transmit data such as radio or video signals. It contains a bare copper conductor that can handle up to 4,000 volts. This conductor is protected by a bare copper shield, making the cable durable enough to be used in direct burial applications. RG133 coax cable also can handle temperatures ranging from -40°C to 80°C because it features a Type I PVC jacket as per the military’s MIL-C-17 specifications for coax cable. This jacket protects the cable from weathering and other physical damage but is also contaminating so it may be at risk of attenuation over time. Its military equivalent is M17/100-RG133 coax cable.
