RG15 coax cable contains a bare copper clad steel conductor that is rated for a maximum of 5,000 volts. This conductor is shielded in order to prevent electrical interference and keep a strong, consistent current. RG15 coax cable also features a Type I PVC jacket as specified by the military’s MIL-C-17 specifications that protects it from abrasion, weathering, and temperatures ranging from -40°C to 80°C. However, this jacket is contaminating, so it may be at risk of attenuation over time. RG15 coax cable is safe to use outdoors and in direct burial applications.
