What is RG18 Coax Cable?

RG18 coax cable is used to transmit data such as radio or video signals and is approved for use in direct burial applications. It is rated for a maximum operating voltage of 11,000 volts and a temperature range of -40°C to 80°C. M17/79-RG219 coax cable is equivalent to RG18 coax cable, which is constructed in order to comply with the military’s MIL-C-17 specifications for coax cable. RG18 coax cable contains a bare copper conductor, bare copper shielding, and a Type II PVC jacket. As specified by MIL-C-17, this jacket is non-contaminating, so it is resistant to weakening over time. Therefore, RG18 coax cable is perfect for long-term outdoor use.
