BRC-16-3 Brake Cable
Our BRC-16-3 is a 16 gauge 3 conductor brake cable. This cable can be used in various automotive applications but is most commonly used in parking brakes. These brake systems, also known as emergency brakes, use a cable to connect the pedal or handle with the brakes. This parking brake cable tightens and loosens regularly during use. Therefore, it must be flexible, resistant to wear, and resistant to high heat caused by friction. Our 16 gauge 3 conductor brake cable contains three 19/.0112 stranded copper conductors that are laid flat in the jacket, allowing for excellent flexibility. Additionally, the PVC jacket and insulation allow the cable to handle temperatures as high as 105°C. Since our 16 gauge, 3 conductor brake cable is designed to be flexible, resistant to wear and stretching over time, and protected from damage caused by high heat, our cable is optimal for use as a parking brake cable.
