What is GXL Wire?

Our GXL wire is a thin wall, single-conductor automotive primary wire. GXL primary wire is used in engine compartments and other automotive applications where high-temperature performance is required. The bare-copper conductor is wrapped with cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation, making it extremely flexible and incredibly viable in engine compartments. GXL wire has a recommended temperature range of -40° C to +125° C and is rated for 50V. This means that the wire is great where high heat resistance is required, but it is also suitable for applications with very low operating temperatures. Our GXL wire meets SAE-J1128 specifications, M1L-85B requirements for Ford, and MS-8900 specifications for Chrysler.
