Allied Wire and Cable Gives Back
As a family-owned business, we understand the importance of giving back to our community. Each December, we have a charity week in which we donate a portion of our sales to a specific charity. The National Breast Cancer Foundation has always had a special place in the AWC Family, so this year we decided to do an extra fundraiser throughout National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
In order to raise more awareness, we introduced our customers to Betty. Betty is a pink wire reel, but she’s more than just a color. Betty is tougher than her counterparts -- just like a breast cancer survivor!
We told our customers that if they entered “Betty” into the PO for their orders, we would donate a portion of the proceeds from their sale. They blew us away with their support! With the help of our customers, we were able to add to the $50,000 we’ve donated to the NBCF over the years.
On Friday, October 23rd, Allied went pink, and so did our customers. We received nearly 1000 orders with “Betty” in the PO, proving that none of this would have been possible without our loyal customers. We are incredibly grateful for the support we have received and that we are in a position to raise awareness for such an important cause.
