Our UL 1508 wire is manufactured with thin-wall extruded ETFE (ethylene tetrafluoroethylene) insulation for weight and space savings. UL 1508 wire’s ETFE insulation is mechanically tough and has exceptional resistance to radiation and chemicals. ETFE, known by its brand name Tefzel, is popular because of its high corrosion resistance and mechanical strength. UL 1508 is also RoHS compliant. This UL rated Tefzel wire wrap may be used as an appliance wire and back panel wire wrap.
