Collegeville, PA, April, 2013 – The Allied Wire & Cable family is always looking for new ways to connect with customers and to celebrate its employees. This year, the company’s 25th anniversary is no different. See how AWC is bringing everyone together for a laugh with its new series of online game show videos.

Don’t know Chett Smilington yet? You will soon. He’s the host of Allied Wire & Cable’s new online game show series, “Allied’s Reel-Exciting Year-Long 25th Anniversary Celebration Giveaway Extravaganza.” To celebrate their 25th year in business, the Allied family was looking for a new and exciting way to bring its customers and employees together. When the idea to do a humorous video series came up, Allied decided it would be a great fit. There have been tons of studies linking laughter to better moods, better health, and even better job performance, but sharing a laugh is also a great way for people to connect.

The videos, released at the beginning of each month, run three to five minutes long and feature game show host, Chett, and glamorous hostess, Vera White, along with a myriad of other characters who make appearances in accordance with the show’s different themes.

Each game show episode corresponds to the monthly theme of Allied’s 25th anniversary activities and events. March celebrated Philadelphia, the hometown of Allied Wire & Cable, and featured guest appearances by Benjamin Franklin and Rocky Balboa. April, celebrating New England, home to Allied’s first outside location, entertained with tons of surprises, including dancing lobsters, as a quirky tribute to the region’s famous commercial fishing industry.

Who are the actors in these videos? They’re none other than Allied’s own employees. It has been a great bonding opportunity for members of the AWC family, as videos feature faces not only from different departments, but different Allied locations across the US. If you haven’t seen your AWC salesperson as one of the many characters on-screen, you may see them soon. Customers are responding with great enthusiasm, writing in to say that the clips brightened their busy days, and to request to see their representatives star in future episodes.

Allied’s 25th anniversary is a year-long celebration, and it definitely isn’t lacking in the humor department. The company looks forward to sharing a lot more laughs with its customers and employees throughout the rest of the year. To join in the fun, keep up with all of the game show episodes on Allied Wire & Cable’s YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/awcwire.
