Collegeville, Pa., October 2016—On Wednesday, October 12, Allied Wire and Cable and the Collegeville Italian Bakery will provide a complimentary lunch to police in the Montgomery and Chester county areas. From 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Collegeville Italian Bakery, all first responders are invited to enjoy lunch (sandwich and a drink) on us! Just show your police ID to the bakery, and we’ll enjoy lunch with you.

Allied Wire and Cable is excited for this opportunity to team up with the Collegeville Italian Bakery to serve lunch to the amazing men and women who protect this great community as well as enjoy lunch in one of our favorite restaurants in the Collegeville area.

When asked about supporting local law enforcement, co-president Tim Flynn said: “Our company is all about family, community and helping one another. Our police officers put their lives on the line every day to make sure our families are safe. We are honored to offer lunch for the women and men of the police forces who serve and protect this area, especially in such a delicious place."

Being a family-owned business, Allied Wire and Cable believes it has a responsibility to give back to the community. The Allied Wire and Cable family has given $1.5 million for scholarships for disadvantaged children through the BLOCS Foundation. The Make-A-Wish Foundation has received more than $120,000.00 to bring smiles to the families of kids with life-threatening diseases. Allied Wire and Cable recently gave $30,000 to the Flyers Alumni to help build hockey rinks and give scholarships to underserved children.

Since 1988, Allied Wire and Cable has been involved with local charities and giving back to the community. Allied Wire & Cable dedicates one week a year to donate a percentage of sales to charity. The family-owned and-operated electrical distributor has donated more than $120,000 to many charitable organizations throughout the years. In addition, Allied Wire and Cable works with local schools, charities and the Philadelphia Flyers charities to help serve the area’s youth.
