BRC-12-2 Brake Cable

Our BRC-12-2 is a 12 gauge 2 conductor brake cable. This type of cable has multiple applications for automotive vehicles but is most commonly used for parking brakes, also known as emergency brakes. This cable is flexible because it contains two 19/.0177 stranded bare copper conductors that are laid flat inside the PVC jacket. This allows our 12 gauge 2 conductor brake cable to be pulled repeatedly during use while resisting becoming stretched or worn. Our 12 gauge 2 conductor brake cable is also protected with a PVC insulation, allowing for a maximum temperature rating of 105°C. Parking brake cables may experience some heat caused by friction, so the insulation makes our 12 gauge 2 conductor brake cable work extremely well for parking brakes. This cable is designed to function well and last long, ensuring a safe connection for our customers' emergency brakes.
