BRC-16-2 Brake Cable

Our BRC-16-2 is a 16 gauge 2 conductor brake cable. Both of its conductors are made from 19/.0112 stranded bare copper. The conductors are laid flat inside of the PVC jacket, allowing for increased flexibility. Additionally, this cable is protected by a PVC insulation and jacket, which give it a temperature rating of -40°C to 105°C. Having such a high resistance to heat and such strong flexibility makes our 16 gauge 2 conductor brake cable ideal for use in parking brakes. Also known as emergency brakes, these brake systems consist of a cable that connects to the brake pedal or handle and tightens in order to compress the brakes. The cable has to be able to handle being pulled throughout continued usage without becoming stretched or worn. Therefore, our 16 gauge 2 conductor brake cable's flexibility makes it ideal for use in emergency brakes.
