SGX-3/0 — 3/0 AWG SGX Battery Cable

Our SGX-3/0 is a 3/0 battery cable that is part of our Automotive Wire & Battery Cable line. This cable has cross-linked polyethylene (XPLE) insulation and a 1615/30 stranded bare copper conductor. The insulation allows for it to have a temperature range of -40°C to 125°C, making it resistant to both extreme cold and intense heat. The conductor allows for the cable to handle a continuous voltage of 50 volts. Combining this conductor and insulation creates an efficiently conductive cable that, protected from heat, tough against abrasion, and able to keep up its strength with age. SGX 3/0 cable is typically used for automotive starters or battery grounds, so it must be compliant with the SAE J-1127 guidelines for low voltage battery cable in electrical systems. SGX-3/0 weighs approximately 589 lbs/MFT and its nominal outer diameter is only 0.6540. This 3/0 battery cable’s small size and strong resistance make it perfect for crowded, high-temperature engine compartments.
