M16878 Type C, Type B, and Type D Cable
The MIL-W-16878 Mil-Spec wire marks a hookup wire with temperature level rankings of -65 to 260 degrees Celsius. This high-performance spec meets the demands for tiny measurements, high-temperature resistance, low weight, as well as low fire propagations. Consisting of voltage scores from 250 to 5000 volts, this cable is generally utilized on digital and harness applications throughout the Armed forces, Aerospace, and many other commercial industries. It is mostly used for the internal wiring of electronic equipment. Our MIL-W-16878 wire passes the UL VW-1 Flame Test and excellently withstands harsh environments.

Military specification or Mil-Spec
Military specification or Mil-Spec wire and cables are rigorously manufactured for the U.S Department of Defense standard. M16878/1 Type B
The M16878/1 Type B is built from stranded tinned copper and PVC Insulation with a NEMA temperature and voltage rating of -55ºC to +105 ºC and 600 Volts, respectively. This enables the M16878/1 to perform appropriately for electronic equipment internal wiring and may meet UL 1061.
M16878/2 Type C
The M16878/2 Type C shares the same characteristics as Type B with a higher voltage rating of 1000 Volts. M6878/2 Type C works well for the internal wiring of computerized equipment, electronic boards, panels, etc. It may meet UL 1007 or UL 1569.
M16878/3 Type D
And finally, the M16878/3 Type D possesses the equivalent features as Type B and Type C with the highest voltage rating of 3000 Volts amongst the three Mil 16878 hook up wire variations. Its uses also include the internal wiring computerized equipment, electronic boards, panels, etc. and may meet UL 1011 or UL 1013.
M16878/4 Type E
The NEMA HP-3 or M16878/4 Type E. This may be UL 1213 listed. It is built with stranded silver-plated copper, a temperature and voltage rating of -60ºC to +200 ºC and 600 Volts, respectively. And a shielded and jacketed cable.
M16878/5 Type EE
The M16878/5 Type EE or NEMA HP-3 Type EE has the same features as the M16878/4 Type E, but with a higher voltage rating of 1000 Volts.
M16878/6 Type ET
And lastly, the M16878/6 Type ET. This is also known as NEMA HP-3 Type ET. It possesses the same features as the M16878/4 Type E and M16878/5 Type EE, but with the lowest voltage rating of 250 Volts.
