RG8 Low Loss Cable Construction:

  • Conductor: 10 AWG Solid Bare Copper-Covered Aluminum
  • Insulation: Gas-Injected High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE)
  • Jacket: Black Polyethylene, PVC, or Flooded Water-Resistant Polyethylene
  • Shielding: Duobond II (100% Coverage) and Tinned Copper Braid (95% Coverage)

RG8 Cable Applications:

All of the RG8 parts on this page are suitable for outdoor applications. Parts jacketed with Polyethylene or Flooded Water-Resistant Polyethylene are also suitable for direct burial applications.
