UL 3044 is a Neoprene insulated hook-up wire is used for the internal wiring of appliances. This wire has a maximum temperature of 90°C and a voltage rating of 300. This wire is also oil-resistant, making it ideal for many outdoor applications. Neoprene insulation has good heat aging characteristics and is an excellent low-cost motor lead wire. It may be considered for use in hazardous locations and is being used in explosion-proof motors recognized by UL. 12 AWG and smaller sizes are dual labeled UL and CSA. UL 3044 is standard for safety surveillance closed-circuit television equipment.
