What is AA59569 Flat Braid?

Our Mil-Spec AA59569 flat braid is an insulated braided copper wire manufactured from a point-to-point grounding strap. This makes it an exceptional braid, providing additional shielding to a cable in retrofit applications. Our AA59569 braid is forged from tin covered copper with singular ends which comply with ASTM-B 33, confirming its current carrying capability at low voltages.

This flat braided copper wire is assembled in a circular form before mill-rolled to accommodate a distinct width and density, giving it extreme flexibility and durability to ensure longevity. Tinned copper strands tightly are woven and rolled flat at the time of manufacture. AA59569 flat braid was formerly under the QQB575 specification.
