What is AA59569 Tubular Braid?

Our Mil-Spec AA59569 is an insulated braided copper wire manufactured from a point-to-point grounding strap. This makes it an exceptional braid, providing additional shielding to a cable in retrofit applications. Our AA59569 braid is forged from tin covered copper with singular ends which comply with ASTM-B 33, confirming its current carrying capability at low voltages.

Tinned copper strands are woven in a completely round configuration at the time of manufacture, providing shielding coverage of 95% or more. AA59569 can be used as shielding and protective covering. It provides coverage of 95% or more when placed over a cable of equivalent diameter to the inside diameter of the tubular braid. AA59569 tubularbraid was formerly under the QQB575 specification.
