The M24643/43 cable is a low-smoke, zero-halogen shipboard cable. It is suitable for non-watertight, non-flexing services. This Mil-Spec cable features Cross-Linked Polyethylene (XLPE) insulation and an LSZH cross-linked Polyolefin (XLPO) jacket. The conductor counts and construction in this cable vary, but all cables feature a tinned copper braid shield. An armored version is also available. This cable is ideal for use in shipboard combat systems, interior communications, and lighting and power applications that do not exceed 600V. The Mil-DTL-24643 Mil-Spec covers cables suitable for use in shipboard, communications, instrumentation, and electronic applications.
