MIL-W-5086/2 — Type II
The M5086/2 Mil-Spec wire is ideal for use as airframe wire. It has a temperature range of -55°C to + 105°C and is rated at 600V. This shielded aircraft cable features tinned copper conductors, PVC insulation, a nylon jacket, and an impregnated glass braid shield. It has excellent resistance to moisture, fuels, hydraulic fluids, and other common industrial solvents. The MIL-W-5086/2 cable should be considered for use in any application where it may be exposed to chemicals, cut-through, impact, abrasion, or other abuse. It is available in 22 AWG to 4/0 AWG constructions. This cable also meets the SAE AS50861/2 specification.
