MIL-W-5086/1 — Type I

The M5086/1 Mil-Spec wire has excellent resistance to moisture, fuels, hydraulic fluids, and other common industrial solvents. This unshielded aircraft cable is suitable for use in any application where exposure to chemicals, cut-through, impact, abrasion, or other abuse is a major concern. Along with a soft annealed, stranded tinned copper conductor, this cable also has compounded Thermoplastic PVC insulation and a clear nylon jacket. The M5086/1 has a maximum temperature of +105° Celsius and a 600V rating. This cable is ideal for use in airframe point-to-point wiring. It is also available in many gauge sizes, with constructions available in 12 AWG to 22 AWG.
