MIL-W-5086/4 — Type IV

The M5086/4 Mil-Spec wire is a durable aircraft cable. It features a stranded tin-plated copper conductor, PVC insulation, and a nylon jacket. Because of the tinned conductor, this cable has the highest voltage rating of all of the M5086 wires. It is rated at 3000V and has a maximum temperature +105°Celsius. The M5086/4 cable is suitable for use in any application where exposure to chemicals, cut-through, impact, abrasion, or other abuse is a major concern. This cable is available in varying gauge sizes, from 16 AWG to 22 AWG constructions. It also meets the SAE AS50861/4 Specification.
