Belden Fire Alarm Cable

Belden fire alarm cable is another of the many types of Belden cable distributed by Allied Wire and Cable. These cables are crucial to the performance of potentially life-saving devices such as fire alarms and smoke detectors, and are manufactured to the highest standards. Cables are available to meet FPL, FPLR, FPLP, and NPLF ratings.

Allied carries Belden fire alarm cable in power-limited and non-power limited, shielded and unshielded versions. Mid-capacitance and multi-conductor cables are also part of the selection.

Riser-rated fire alarm cable is offered in shielded power-limited multi-conductor cabling or unshielded power-limited multi-conductor cable. It is rated NEC FPLR cable and CEC CMG FT4. It is also California State Fire Marshall approved.

FPL cable is power-limited mid-capacitance cable, available in shielded and unshielded constructions. Non-power-limited signal cable, which is NEC rated NPLF, also has unshielded and shielded parts. It may be used to 150 volts maximum, according to NEC Article 760.

Plenum-rated fire alarm cables include unshielded power-limited FPLP alarm cable, shielded power-limited FPLP cable, unshielded power-limited mid-capacitance FPLP cable, and shielded power-limited mid-capacitance FPLP alarm cable.

FPLR-CIC and FPLR-CI rated cables are also available from Allied.

Fire alarm cable applications include fire protection, alarm, and signal applications, and use in audio, control, notification, and initiating circuits. For more information on fire alarm cable, visit our Fire Alarm Cable FAQ.
